Being a HUGE fan of the "Twilight" series, I was super excited for the movie. I joined the Shiny Vampire Club for the midnight opening. Was sadly sadly disappointed. It was like a bad afterschool special. The filming and acting was awful.
Here we go again....now the first sequel, "New Moon" is coming. I'm torn. Super excited to see what how they interpret it...but know I'll be disappointed.
Ugh. See what you think. Should I go?

Spring is my very favorite season ever! The tree blossoms are all popping out around our house, and for about 4 minutes it was just GORGEOUS. Then the winds came. :-(
I even planted three pots of herbs and three pots of flowers! The wind is taking its toll on those too...boo. Hopefully it'll rain just a LITTLE soon...so allergies go away and the grass and flowers come to life!

The humidity yesterday just about took us out. We broke down and flipped on the air conditioning. Record! May 19th with A/C blasting. Wow!

Tomorrow is Jason's birthday!! We're going to do a little BBQ-ing if anyone's up for a party!

Then, if Maya's feeling better this weekend, we're thinking of heading over to Jason's sisters house in Wisconsin and to Door County for a little, way overdue, family vacation! Just Jason, Kristen, & Maya!! I'm sooo excited!

Now that I'm 30 I am going to try to start keeping this updated again.
Cuz 30 year olds are responsible and have their life together..right? Crap.
I've been trying not to read into the number 30 too much but it's...hard.

As a distraction I continue to have a fun celebratory week.

• Yesterday I got flowers at work from a friend and another took me to "Hells Kitchen" downtown. It was AWESOME.
  
• Tonight we went to my new boyfriend, Keith Urban's, concert. It was SO much fun! He seriously is adorable. I want to pinch his cheeks. All of them. :-)
  
• Tomorrow I'm staying home from work and doing NOTHING and am psyched! No PC shows, no work, no cleaning. Nothing. I'm going to finish reading "The Shack"..FINALLY!
  
• Saturday is my bday party at Acme Comedy Club! I'm so excited about that too!

I can't even believe it's already Mid-April! Where does time go?
We had a great Easter with mom and dad. Maya got to go swimming so she's as happy as a clam. What a big little girl she is...and as hard as I tried to avoid it, she has officially become my little PRINCESS.

My pet peeves in parenting:

• Dora
  
• Winnie the Pooh
  
• Barney
  
• The marketing of Princesses and Ballerinas
  
• My weakness to fighting any and all of these.
  

I try to justify all of these things by saying she'll be a well rounded kindergartener and be able to better related to the other kids..but the truth is her mom is lazy and too tired to fight it.
The more I think about having another baby, the more I think about how little control I have and will continue to have in the scheme of my children's lives. I think it's so amazing how much personality Maya has developed in 2 short years...and I often wonder how much of that was because of me and how much was in spite of me. Spite.

I was POISONED yesterday..I think. I ate at Macy's Deli for lunch. 30 mins later was sicker than a dog. Got worse and worse all night. Finally fell asleep and woke up feeling great. Got almost all ready for work and got a hot flash and nauseous again. Seriously. I should sue them. Or make them give me free clothes. SOMETHING.

Today is my brother, Andy, and his fiance, Kristen's engagement party (but just immediate family...so you don't have to wonder why you weren't invited to the big event ;-)! I'm really excited to officially meet all of her family. We are so happy for both of them.
The wedding will be next summer (2010) and MAY just be a destination wedding. Jason and I are cheering for that idea...get us out of this place for a while!
Andy is currently in law school at Willamette in Salem, Oregon and Kristen is in med school at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.
Doctor and Lawyer. Ugh. Hopefully they'll remember me when they make their first million.

I’m not really into posting obituaries on here, but I wanted to pay tribute to one of my old coworkers at GMAC ResCap who passed away this past week after a 4 year battle with brain cancer. He was seriously the biggest ray of sunlight on the world. Positive, outgoing, talented, and a loving husband and father.
I know he will be missed so much..and because I’ve been thinking so much about him I wanted to share this story with everyone.

Please pray for his beautiful family!

So how are we supposed to keep up with blogging when Facebook expects constant updating. My updates are going to start becoming how I updated my website and Facebook. Sheesh.
So now that MONTHS have gone by since I wrote anything of any substance (if ever) I still have nothing super interesting to write. Hmmm.

• Mom and Dad are both back to work and are just amazing to me. They both look amazing and are feelin great. Sooo proud of them and thankful for everyoes prayers and thoughts. THANK YOU!
  
• Spring is arriving! FINALLY. Poor Maya's allergies won't allow us to even go out and appreciate the beautiful weather, but we're admiring through the windows! Sad.
  
• I just realized I turn 30 in TWO MONTHS! Holy crap! When did oldness set in? Scary!
  
• The idea of 30 kicked my butt and I started tanning and plotting my comeback. We'll see how that goes! LOL!
  
• Also, Jackie's wedding is in 3 months! WOOHOO!
