For all y'all concerned folk...Jacob is feeling all better. We went into the doctor's office yesterday and discovered he has an ear infection. Now he's on drugs and feeling 900% better.

Baby's temp got up to 104 today! I'm SO glad Brooke stayed home from work or I would have crawled into a hole and cried. Had a chance to read more of "The Nanny Diaries" today. Man, that's a funny book!

We had the best day EVER today! Megan, Kacey, Dawn and I went to the Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands to see the Jets play! It was incredible. We had awesome seats, drank beer, ate hotdogs and were social with the marines. At halftime, we went outside to see what was up and there was a whole group of guys lined up along this spiral staircase. Not wanting to miss out on the action, we went to look. They were throwing dollars down to the bottom as a lure to get someone to run out and they would pour beer on the sucker. Soon, however, the chanting turned to "KISS YOUR FRIEND, KISS YOUR FRIEND"...and guess who they were all pointing to...KACEY!hehee. Guys are so pathetic! Over 200 men at a sporting event...looking for some action!? What? We laughed for hours over it. Then we tailgated. It was super.

I went on the most wonderful stroll with Jacob yesterday. I made some chai, got out the stroller and we walked all through the village and looked at leaves and Halloween decorations. The park was crisp and fun. I forgot how much I LOVE fall...minus having to warm up the car in the morning.

I'm devistated over the news of Minnesota' Senator Paul Wellstone's death today! I didn't know much about him but he really is a local hero and it's creepy to see Minnesota all over the news while being in New Jersey. Very, very sad.

I took the wine personality test. Here are my results:

You scored 60% Zinfandel
We hope that no one's ever tried to hold you back, because clearly you have your own idea of how the world ought to run (or at least your world). Your gusto and love of life are clear and clearly mark you as a red zinfandel drinker.

True? I dunno. But I DO like Zinfandel!

WELL...had a long, party filled weekend that I must tell y'all about. Friday night, Cindy and I went to Poor Billy's and met cute boys and listened (watched) the most beautiful man EVER rock out. His name is Henry and he is in Life Speed. Then yesterday morning I got on the train into NYC and started my mentor/volunteering. I was only lost on the subway for 1/2 hr!hehee. Afterward, I met some nanny friends and we went to Planet Hollywood for dinner and then wandered the streets of Soho in the rain until we found a place called CBGB, OMFUG that was the epitome of soul music and Soho. Very funky club with a kitty lounging in the corner! Then a fireman bribed us to come to The Culture Club (which didn't take much because I've wanted to go there since I got here). This is where Pacman, Dirty Dancing, and candy necklaces are still in. It was SOOO kewl..even though it was $20 to get in and beers were $6 each. ouchy.

I've decided that nannies are like orphans. Transplanted from everything they know, they must try to find a loving family that will provide for them while making new friends from scratch. Orphan Annie was little and limber though.:-)

Tonight I had the pleasure of ushering at the Burgdorff Culture Center here in Maplewood. I got a backstage tour and got to meet everyone. It was sooo kewl! After ushering, I got the balcony all to myself to enjoy the show. The play is called "Dinner With Friends". Got rave reviews from the New York Times! Anyway, be jealous, very jealous!

Another ie of my bottled self esteem named Jacob. As he was climbing into the car today he reached over and grabbed an open magazine and pointed to a pic of Reese Witherspoon with dark hair and said, "Kristen, is that you?" When I laughed and said "No, I wish!" he said "Well, it looks like you!" Can't beat that kind of honesty!!!(wink wink)
