The lady who did my nails today was kind enough to give me the gift of rubber. Rubber gloves. Is that a normal gift to get from your manicurist?

I'm going home TOMORROW MORNING! Eekers! I'm packed but I must go buy a new wardrobe to make my friends think I've done something with myself out here! hehee. Yah right. After this trip home, I won't be back until at least May. That's so sad...however, then I will have time to do something with myself out here!;-)

A Christmas Recipe you can't refuse...

CHRISTMAS CAKE
Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
lemon juice
4 large eggs
nuts
1 large bottle Jose Cuervo
2 cups of dried fruit

Sample the Cuervo to check quality.
Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again.
To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.
Repeat.
Turn on the electric mixer.
Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
Add one teaspoon of sugar.
Beat again.
At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK.
Try another cup .... just in case
Turn off the mixerer thingy.
Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
Pick the frigging fruit off floor.
Mix on the turner.
If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a
drewscriver.
Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity.
Next, sift two cups of salt.
Or something. Who giveshz a shit.
Check the Jose Cuervo
Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table.
Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven.
Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don't forget to beat off the turner.
Finally, throw the bowl through the window,
Finish the Jose Cuervo and kick the cat.

CHERRY MISTMAS!

I took a step aerobics class today. For real, that can't be good for you. I thought I was going to die. I was the first person in the history of exercise classes to walk out halfway through. Shiiiiiiiit.

I was just looking at a salary calculator to see what I would have to make in New York in order to live. It told me that the cost of living in NY is 364% higher than St. Cloud, MN!!!! That means, if you make $24,000 per year in St. Cloud, you'd have to make $111,371 per year to live to that same standard!! I think I'm having a heart attack.

SO I didn't sleep the other night, but by Saturday morning I had the best Christmas list ever. Yesterday I finished my shopping!! YAYYYYY for powershopping me. Don't get too excited though;-)
Something you SHOULD get excited for: my arrival to the Minneapolis International Airport at 9:30AM exactly one week from today! Yikers! I better pack.

I am SO creative in the middle of the night! YAY me. Just thought of some presents I should buy. This is the beauty of having your own website. You can ramble into the Internet any time and no one has to care or even listen. Wait...did that make sense? no.

Ok..it's 2:09AM. My heart is pumping so fast I feel like I'm having a heart attack and when I close my eyes they pop right back open. I liked those drugs all day, but I really wanna sleep!!! POOOOOOEY. Wouldn't you know it...I wait all week to sleep Friday night and then I get sick and am wide awake. Funny joke. See my face, not smiling?? Yah. Well. I'm rambling cuz there's nothing else to do at 2:10AM in the morning.

Dang! I was doing so good at not missing a day of blogging and then I went and skipped TWO days. So sorry...hehee.
This morning I went to a class called "ab attack". You'd think it would be fun. It wasn't. It was like being taken advantage of in a jail full of big, huge, muscle-pumpin' scary women. Ok, not that bad, but I think I'm gonna feel it.

New trip on the horizon! We're going as a nanny klan to Hunter Mountain, NY at the end of January!!! Sweet. The best part is, however, that it's not JUST a ski trip. It's also a snowtubing trip!!!

Thank God it's Friday today! I'm so ready for some sleep and some real Christmas shopping!! I'm not responsible enough to shop with a child. I lost J's coat today at the mall. What a LOSER.

When my mom tried sending my snowboots out to me a month ago I laughed at her and snottily said, "they don't get that kind of snow here." Sorry, mom. They do, and it's coming down with a vengence! We've gotten about 5 inches today and it's not stopping. We tried making snowmen but defaulted to making 2 dimentional pictures of snowmen. Not sticky snow. Booooooo.

So I've been thinking...which is always bad. I think I'm gonna say "screw it" to loan payments, etc. and just take off to Europe for a few weeks. Hostels are cheap and worse comes to worse, I'll become a pimp. How bad could it be??

Strangest thing happened this morning. I'm working out at the JCC and this older lady approaches me and asks, "Does that shirt mean SCSU as in Minnesota?" She GRADUATED from St. Cloud State in 1970 and has lived here for quite a while! She also is a teacher and teaches ESL to adults now. How cool is that? However, the irony continues. Her mother's maiden name is...Wiener!!!

I would like this for Christmas. Especially after Jackie insisted on breaking my designer, treasured, in-the-family-for-years suitcase in the killer wind of last week.
