I haven't really gotten into the whole war vs. anti-war discussion. However, I got this forward today, written by W. Wayne Schields (and stolen by Dennis Miller), and I want to share it with you. It's a really good point...and uses the K.I.S.S. method which is a good one to base all life decisions on.:-) Enjoy...

ALL THE RHETORIC ON WHETHER OR NOT WE SHOULD GO TO WAR AGAINST SADDAM HAS GOT MY INSANE LITTLE BRAIN SPINNING LIKE A ROULETTE WHEEL.

I ENJOY READING OPINIONS FROM BOTH SIDES BUT RECENTLY, I HAVE DETECTED A HINT OF CONFUSION FROM SOME OF YOU. AS I WAS READING THE PAPER RECENTLY, I WAS REMINDED OF THE BEST ADVICE SOMEONE EVER GAVE ME. HE TOLD ME ABOUT THE KISS METHOD, ("KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID!). SO, WITH THIS AS A THEME, I'D LIKE TO APPLY THIS THEORY FOR THOSE WHO DON'T QUITE GET IT.

MY HOPE IS THAT WE CAN SIMPLIFY THINGS A BIT AND RECOGNIZE A FEW IMPORTANT FACTS. HERE ARE 10 THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN VOICING AN OPINION ON THIS IMPORTANT ISSUE:

1) BETWEEN PRESIDENT BUSH AND SADDAM HUSSEIN ... HUSSEIN IS THE BAD GUY.

2) IF YOU HAVE FAITH IN THE UNITED NATIONS TO DO THE RIGHT THING KEEP THIS IN MIND, THEY HAVE LIBYA HEADING THE COMMITTEE ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND IRAQ HEADING THE GLOBAL DISARMAMENT COMMITTEE! DO YOUR OWN MATH HERE.

3) IF YOUR ONLY ANTIWAR SLOGAN IS "NO WAR FOR OIL," SUE YOUR SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR ALLOWING YOU TO SLIP THROUGH THE CRACKS AND ROBBING YOU OF THE EDUCATION YOU DESERVE.

4) SADDAM AND BIN LADEN WILL NOT SEEK UNITED NATIONS APPROVAL BEFORE THEY TRY TO KILL US.

5) DESPITE COMMON BELIEF, MARTIN SHEEN IS NOT THE PRESIDENT. HE PLAYS ONE ON TV

6) EVEN IF YOU ARE ANTIWAR, YOU ARE STILL AN "INFIDEL" AND BIN LADEN WANTS YOU DEAD, TOO!

7) IF YOU BELIEVE IN A "VAST RIGHT-WING CONSPIRACY," BUT NOT IN THE DANGER THAT HUSSEIN POSES, QUIT HANGING OUT WITH THE DELL COMPUTER DUDE.

8) GOING TO WAR WITHOUT THE FRENCH IS LIKE GOING BEAR HUNTING WITHOUT A PIANO. WE ARE NOT TRYING TO LIBERATE THEM.

9) WHETHER YOU ARE FOR MILITARY ACTION OR AGAINST IT, OUR YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN OVERSEAS ARE FIGHTING FOR US TO DEFEND OUR RIGHT TO SPEAK OUT. WE ALL NEED TO SUPPORT THEM WITHOUT RESERVATION.

10) NEVER FORGET, WE LIVE IN THE GREATEST NATION IS THIS WORLD, AND MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA.---------------------------------------------------------------

Too funny. I was just watching "Six Feet Under" for the first time. One of the girls was hired on to be her prof's driver. He said "I used to shop at Livingston Mall while I went to Rutgers but..." I SHOP AT LIVINGSTON MALL! I'm gonna really miss that kind of familiarity when I move back to MN.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I kicked both Carolyne and her hubby, Rob's butt at tennis. It was so fun getting outside and playing. Finally.

Kacey, Daleanna, her "friend" Brian, and I went into the city today. Was super fun till it started pouring out. We saw a mouse at Penn Station and became drowned rats. Got to go back to St. Patrick's Cathedral, Central Park, and Planet Hollywood (which is a given when with Kacey!hehee). Fun day. Now Scottys, DUH!

Mindy and I attempted to play tennis last night. Our noble effort was foiled. Who knew that they don't light tennis courts at night until after April 1?! I'm loving the midwest more every day. When you use lit courts here you have to pay extra cuz the lights are on. Did you read that? Pay EXTRA..meaning you must pay for courts no matter what time, but at night it's more. BLAAAAAH.

Life is such a gift. In this time of war as well as the season of Easter we need to be thankful and hopeful. It is so easy to get caught up in the hubub of the days and months. We are so quick to get frustrated and angry with each other. My wakeup came this weekend as I watched my good friend Kacey say goodbye to her grandpa 2,000 miles from home.

She found out today that he passed away. Tomorrow she will go home to Illinois to be with her family and friends. It is so hard to know what to say in a time like this, trying not to sound cheesy. After thinking about it over and over I felt I needed to, at the very least, acknowledge her and her family and ask that you all keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Your passion will get you through, baby! I love you....

Hillsborough, NJ. Where is that you may ask. I don't know. I just drove. And turned circles. We managed to drink lots of beers (including the newly popular Yuengling LIGHT Lager), break Jay's camera, and watch every flash presentation on the INTERWEB. Now we must leave. Bed. Nice. Sleep.

"Shock and Awe"??! I'm just amazed at the destruction that the U.S. can cause in 8 minutes without any problem but when the the U.S. is violated it is the most appauling action ever. Are those lives of Iraqi citizens worth less than American lives? Makes me feel sick. They better've gotten that man today so it ends.

at the last minute I threw a temper tantrum about my "love" as in bulges and put on a sweater. The only guys hitting on me were middle eastern pimps. Kari thinks it's cuz i was only one step away from being fully covered. Whatevs. I like boys who would hit on a girl in a phat sweater...knowing there are bewbies under there. hehee.

Kacey and I went to Virginia this weekend! WOW! Culture shock. Had a great time!

A few mentionables:
We found out that every town from Pennsylvania to Virginia is either a "ville", "burg", or "town". Mechanicsburg was our fave.
Truck drivers drink beer. Nice. Kacey was a witness.
Had my tattoo redone.
Men in Mechanicsburg prefer to pleasure each other in grocery store restrooms.
Virginians care NOTHING about fashion or else they took all media away from them at the end of the 80's! SHOOOOOOOEY!
Billy Bob is a good money lender and ma is a great borrower.
The plantations houses were amazing! HORSES, CORNFIELDS, MOUNTAINS, BARNS, HARLEYS and MULLETS!
On Saturday we got a whiff of manure and wrinkled our noses. Next thing we knew it we were trying to get more whiffs. You can take the hick out of hicksville...
Watched a huge, mentally ill man breakdance to a hard rock band (after he brushed his badly permed mullet).
Met a critter who has issues with orbit gum.
Stopped at Hershey, Pennsylvania and in Wawa, Pennsylvania to see the Nestle plant. We like chocolate. DUH!

We went virtually everywhere in Harrisonburg:
Every hotel in sight...trying to find a cheap, nice one. Doesn't exist.
Long John Silvers, Chilis, Hardees, Texas Steakhouse, Mainstreet Bar and Grill, Dave's Taverna, The Beanery, Buffalo Wild Wings

Family Dollar, Super Shoes, Tattoo Parlor, Ghetto Caverns, Shenendoah Caverns, CVS, First Union, James Madison University, and the high school...AND MUCH MORE! yes, dork.

Pictures will be up soon.

I got to see my "Winnie Cooper" (as Joey likes to call him) when I went to MN. He even came out with us one night! Do you ever wish you just had the guts to sweep a guy off of his feet and carry him to New Jersey with you? Well, I wished that. He could be my man slave. Nice.
