Since I can remember I've given Jacob long hugs and said "I love my Jacob. You're MY Jacob." As I was leaving him tonite, I went to give a hug goodbye. As I got up from the hug he wouldn't let go and started rocking me saying "I love my Kristen...I love my Kristen."

I think I'm gonna miss him more than I realize right now. He's my little angel.

Super fun beach day today! Kacey and her kids decided to drive to the shore (Bayhead) and hang out on the beach for the day...so Carolyne, Anneliese, and I invited ourselves along. It was crazy fun! The waves were abnormally high and kicked our arses. When I took off my swimsuit, I was amazed that we had left any sand at the beach. Good times.

Now if only I would get that phone call...

Super duper weekend! Jason and I took off on Friday evening for Eastern PA. Our first camping adventure together. We got to the Shawnee Mountain just in time to get in on the concert that was going on nearby. John Michael Montgomery happened to be playing and NO ONE in the east seems to know who he is. We benefitted hugely...standing face to face with the country legend;-) We got to our campsite late and set up our own firepit and tent. In the morning we decided a road trip was in order. We opted to head to Baltimore, MD. Why not? On the way we stopped at Woodhall Winery and got to taste test:-) We got to the city just in time for dinner and to enjoy the beautiful weather and many people wandering the downtown area, right on the harbor. Getting ready to take off home, some guy approached us and offered us tickets to the concert that was going on at that moment. We didn't know who was playing so at first said no to the offer. Turns out Tracy Chapman was playing and we got the tickets for $10!! We got in at 3am this morning...and the real world waited for us. Today we work. It was overall an amazing trip...and my boyfriend is the best ever.

You can tell I'm bored when I'm posting 3 times daily again, huh!?

Today Carolyne and I watched a bright blue Audi reverse full speed backwards over a curb and into a fence...without a driver in it.
The girl had left it in neutral and gone into the JCC. Oopy. Flat tire and banged in bumper was a good verdict considering it landed about 3 inches from a brand new Hummer!!

This is my favorite thought for today....

Women are like apples on trees.
The best ones are at the top of the tree.
The men don't want to reach for the good ones
because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt.
Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground

I had another nanny interview tonite with a really wonderful family in Short Hills. What if I can make more money being a nanny than teaching? Then what? HUH????

UPDATE: I interviewed with the nanny agency and things are lookin' up...and they're sending Chris' wife my resume! I'm so excited! I also got a call from another woman tonite who sounds wonderful about a nanny job in Short Hills. I don't know what I'm doing with my life! Sheesh.

So Mindy told me that Chris Rock is looking for a nanny! I found out the name of the agency and have an interview with him in an hour. Holy crap. I doubt it I'd get a high profile job like that, but wouldn't it be kewl if I did? Fun thoughts.

Tonite Jason's supervisor and his wife invited us to dinner about an hour from home. It was a great time...until...well...the Rennaisance concert in his living room. Interesting evening, but a much needed break from normalcy.;-)

Today I have promoted myself at the marina. I am now the receptionist/childcare administrator. The cutest kiddies were in today and I became the volunteer nanny...therefore I am developing a curriculum to further enhance the boat buying experience. I wonder if that entails a raise!?

Today was interview day! YAYYY! I had two charter school appointments...one in Paterson, NJ and one in Jersey City, NJ. They both went very well. Just gotta wait now. I hate that part.

Oh, and I found out I had a warrant out for my arrest. Who knew you really had to pay parking tickets. Sheesh.

Last week I started my new temp job. I actually blogged from there but Blogger was broken. Lots of kewl people and it's right on Lake Hopactong. I'm even gonna get a boat ride one of these days. Perks. Everything else has been crazy hectic but on track. Got a budget goin' and have been working on not going out to eat anymore for a while. All in all, a successful couple weeks.
