Hey kids. Sorry I've been MIA this week. I went to Cape May (Jersey Shore) with a family for this week and took care of their kids...made some moola and got a little tan. Then I went to the Counting Crows/John Mayer concert on Friday night with Jason, Kacey, and Doston. Awesome concert. Saturday is Dave Matthews...the last in our concert series of the summer.

Tuesday I begin my career!! New teacher training on Tuesday, all teachers there on Wednesday, and Thursday the kids come! Yikers.

On a crappier note:
Wednesday my family had to put my grandma into a nursing home. By Friday there were already signs of neglect so they have moved her to another facility already. Very hard to see all of this happen from such a distance. I can't wait to go home for a little while. Probably won't happen till Christmas though:-(

Thursday I found out that my wonderful friends, Rob and Carolyne (also the people I live with), are moving to New Hampshire in October. It will be horribly sad to see them go.

I want to end on a happy note, so...
My little cousin, Ambie (Aka Amber) has asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding in December! I'm so excited for her and now for me too! I've never been a bridesmaid before...KARI...did you hear that? NEVER!;-)

I have SEVERE puppy fever right now. I've had it in the past but been able to tie myself down and forget about it. This time I don't know if I can! I found this breed, goldendoodle/labradoodle, that is ideal and have even sought out breeders. Eeks. Try to talk me out of it!

I had my first day at school yesterday. It was splendid! We got most of the room set up and I now have a much better idea of what's going to happen. No more nightmares...hopefully! When I go back on Monday I'll post pics of the room. It's adorable.

On Friday (drum roll please), Jason and I are headed to the BEN FOLDS/TORI AMOS concert!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I am the luckiest.

How bout I tell you that I'm going in for my first day at school on Monday...and I'm SOOO excited. Oh, and JB-Baby is the cutest boy ever, and there was a blackout yesterday in all of NY and parts of NJ and MI and Canada...and I thought we were being attacked....

Yesterday I took Kacey to the Dr. and quit her job for her. Not bad for an afternoon, eh?lol. Tonite we're going to an interview in SoHo for her. Cross your fingers.

Yesterday was the kewlest...

Kacey and I had tickets to the Jets game. On Saturday night, Jason called to tell me one of his coworkers had extra tickets too and he was going as well. It was sooo much fun! Afterward, we went to Colorado Cafe to get a little reminder of why the Midwest is good. We even got in on the line dance lessons! Sweetness.
