(I'm writing this entry with a huge knot in my tummy. Most of it is excitement, but HOLY anxiety!)
I quit my job!
Earlier this week I interviewed for a part time Program Manager position and I got it!
This will allow me to do emailing during the day with clients but all of the programming will be done with Jason is home in the evenings and weekends. I am sooooo relieved that I get to spend all of my days with Miss Maya. Being a mom is definitely the best job I've EVER had anyway.
Stupid money...

Moral Dilemma:
Yesterday we received a mailing from a local spa/salon. Assuming it was a coupon or some sort of marketing thing we opened it. It was a $150 gift certificate. When I looked on the front of the envelope, it was addressed to someone else but with our home address. I pondered it all day, lusting over the idea of a spa getaway for valentine's day. What do you think I did?
A. Made an appointment for an Express Retreat
B. Called the spa and told them about the mixup, receiving nothing but good karma
C. Gave it to my mom for Valentines Day
The same thing happened when we registered for our wedding. We got Kate Spade goblets in the mail from some random person in Florida. After researching, I discovered it was some sweet old lady who didn't really know the bride and groom and Bloomingdales had sent it to the wrong registrants. In that case I called the store and not only did they not give me anything as a thank you, but they asked that I either spend my own money to ship them back or bring them in to a store to return them. I promptly cancelled our registry after that.
Apparently God likes to test me. Kate Spade and massages are the ultimate tests!

I can't believe how fast time has been flying! Between feedings every 2-3 hrs, napping, cleaning, and washing bottles, I haven't had time to do any documenting of precious Maya's first weeks! She is doing a great job at growing..her only job right now. She is now over 8 lbs! Wait, she does have another job that she's not doing so great at...sleeping during the night. She sleeps ALL day long and then just about lights out time, she opens her eyes as wide as she can. Party time! That's very hard for me, being the sleep worshiper that I am. With my maternity leave ending soon, we have been exploring the idea of me working from home. Somehow. I just can't bear the thought of dropping baby off in the morning and not seeing her for a full 8 hours! Not sure how people get through that initial pain. Not sure I could. Anyway...feast away on some pics from the last month.:-)
