I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day. As much as I detest the idea of this "Hallmark Holiday", it always wins me over by the end of the day. How can you hate a holiday that's about love and your significant other expressing it to you..and being spoiled? Really.

Today I dressed Maya in blue. A very FEMININE blue...with a flower on the front!
For those of you who know her, you know this is rare! She's a very pink and brown type of girl :-)
I realized this evening WHY I always do the pink thing. We went to dinner and shopping and every person who came in contact with us called her a HIM and BUDDY. Ugh. Apparently the color is the only distinction between a baby girl and baby boy.
Jason's face got all twisted every time too. It was cute.

Tuesday, February 5
We had such a fun weekend! It started on Friday night when Jenny took Maya and Finn for the night and we (Kari, Erik, Jason, & I) got to go skating in St. Paul for Jill's birthday (Happy Birthday again, Jill!)...followed by Saturday night's con to get my brother, Andy, to babysit...and Jason and I got to go on a real date! We went for drinks and then to see Juno, which was absolutely fabulous! On Sunday, we went to Jackie's for a Super Bowl party that was excellent! Ms. Jack didn't let anyone down with her football themed decor and wonderful food!
Yesterday the fun weekend came to an abrupt halt while my poor sweety-pie got all banged up at daycare. She's been working very hard on this walking skill and it's getting ugly...as you can see! My own little Worf (and no, I'm NOT a Trekky...I just looked it up!)
