A Girl's Got to Do What a Girl's Got to Do!

I was cooking dinner when all of a sudden I realized Maya had been a little too quiet for a little too long. When I went into the bathroom this is what I found her doing!

On the way to work Wednesday I felt a bump on my lip. By that night it had blown up into an all-out FAT lip. Yesterday morning it was even bigger! And today it's still just as big...I look like I was in a Tyson fight! I figured stress had finally tackled me.

Then last night I was looking at a rash Maya developed on Wednesday night and had thought it was a bug bite. It not only hadn't gotten any better but there were more spots! Then it hit me...CHICKEN POX! I called the nurse and she said even if they're vaccinated kids can get a mild case. Soo..Maya and I spent the evening last night at the clinic. They determined that it MOST LIKELY wasn't Chicken Pox but was definitely some form of herpes. And that my lip is probably related somehow. Sheesh. Poor baby has an eczema rash on her face and an arm full of little itchy bumps.
Luckily our sweet daycare lady was still willing to take her today so I could go to work. Phew! I'm sooo ready for a weekend.

UPDATE: Maya now has a total of 2 visible sores IN her mouth and 2 new ones on her arm and leg. Help!

Haven't had a Maya update in a while...

First, she's seriously growing a foot a day! I now understand why they call babies "little beansprouts". Her legs are just shooting up! One day she fit in 12 month clothes perfectly and the next she was wearing highwaters! Luckily capris are in style! ;-)

She's also quite the little shopping buddy! We went to Sears the other day just to wait while our car was being fixed. We happened to go to the baby shoe department and she whined and pointed to one pair in particular. I got her the right size and she leaned over to put them on! Her face lit up and she pranced around with a huge smile for the rest of the time there. Like I could just put them back!!? No..they are now hers. Dang! How am I going to make it through the teen years if I can't make it through toddlerhood???

This morning she got up from a nap with her whole hand in her mouth. I put my finger in to see if she was teething and was SHOCKED to feel that the whole top of her mouth has teeth peeking through! Poor baby! No wonder her nose has been flowing! Sheesh.

Lastly, I HAVE to share this story..even though it exposes me! As she was hanging out while I did laundry this morning, she came out of our bedroom as seen below!! With my BRA hanging over her neck! Quite the training bra, eh?? LOL! I fell to the ground laughing. Guess I should be careful what I do around her from here on out! Yikes! The funniest part is I couldn't get her to smile for the picture because she was pulling on it, saying "OSSS, OSSS" (That's OFF for those of you who don't speak 16month mumbo jumbo!).

So...it was a pretty awesome day today. We bought a townhouse!!!!
We're moving to Blaine at the end of May! We close on my BIRTHDAY!
Happy 29th birthday to me! ;-)
