Happy 30th Birthday to my cute hubby!! I can't believe he hit it! That means it's soon my turn! YIKES! I love you Jason:-)

Yay! We made it through closing yesterday! In the days leading up to it, there had been many issues that made us start to second guess our decision SO I was extremely nervous! I had taken the day off from work and played with Maya all morning. When I dropped her off at daycare in the late morning, I said "Bye Maya! Mommy's going to go buy a house for you now!" Kind of gave me butterflies of excitement! This really is for her more than either Jason or me!
When Jason got done with a half day of work we met at home and I could tell that he was just as anxious as me! We took off for the closing office and I don't think either of us said anything the whole way there.
Now, I know we are NOT the first people in America to have purchased a home, but for us this was the biggest day ever! So...we walked in with our heads high and lots of fears. They were quickly wiped away when our realtor walked in and gave us big hugs and congratulated us. The actual process of signing documents went really smoothly. They were good about explaining everything to us and the sellers came to meet us too. It was actually really fun!
Walking out of that office, I think Jason and I both were finally able to breathe for the first time in several weeks. We did it!
Last night we went over to the townhouse to hang out and did a champaign (and juice) toast with the three of us:-) Then Jackie and Jeremy came over (our first guests!!) to check it out. It feels so natural being there. I can't wait until all of our stuff is in there and we don't have the apartment as a cloud over our heads.
Anyway, thank you to all of you who sent well wishes yesterday! That was so nice:-)
